Hi there –

I hope all is well with you, and you’re keeping cool and safe, these days! Things are good, here in Bolton, MA, where we’re hunkered down and washing our hands regularly.

I’m reaching out to let you know about a new training I’m offering, starting in August. It’s called “HI-5 the Headhunters“, and it teaches people like you and me how to build a “Headhunter Interceptor” out of 5 free tools that we already use, just about every day.

HI-5 basically automates your responses to recruiters who reach out to you with job opportunities – whether you’re looking for a new position, or not.*

I’ve been working with recruiters to find work, since I got into the job market in 1987. And as a result, in the past 32 years, I’ve had no breaks in my employment history, other than when I moved back and forth across the country in the 1990s. They’ve kept me working, and that looks great on my LinkedIn profile 🙂

Problem is, pretty much every single time I’ve talked to a new headhunter, they had old info – the kind of info they should have updated before ever reaching out to me. It was maddening, having to repeat myself (almost verbatim) 5-10 times/week, when I was actively looking for a new job.

Well, I got sick and tired of that time sink, so I mashed up a simple (but powerful) system that would take care of the data-sharing busy-work for me, any time I got an inquiry by phone, text, or email. That way I could have an actual conversation with a real human being about REAL opportunities… not waste a lot of time telling them exactly what I told the last 5 recruiters… and the 5 before them… and then find out too late that the job wasn’t a good fit, after all.

The HI-5 system works! It’s how I got my current gig at Dell EMC, where I’ve been for the past 5 years. The (internal) recruiter I worked with on that job told me it was the best applicant screening experience he’d ever had. All because I made sure he got the right info up front, before either of us wasted our precious time.

Now I’ve designed this course that teaches others how to build their own HI-5 System, and I need to test my concept. I want to make sure it’s actually valuable (I’ve had bad ideas before that seemed GREAT!) and you’re someone whose opinion I value. I’m inviting you to a free live “beta” Zoom session with me, so I can demo my system and get feedback from people most likely to use and benefit from it.

Here’s a Doodle link so you can pick a day and time that work best for you (limited to 1 selection per participant).  https://www.doodle.com/poll/mi8426in2rzmnpy7

I’m limiting session size to 10 each, and there are 4 choices over the first 2 Saturdays in August. Once I have responses, I’ll send out invites to the Zoom sessions.

All I’m asking in exchange is your participation (ask questions! make comments! throw tomatoes!) and provide feedback in a survey afterwards.

I really hope you can make it. This system has saved me so much time and hassle, and I think it can help a lot of other people, too.

Let me know if you have any questions. Hope to see you on Zoom in August!

Kay

*In fact, HI-5 is even more useful when you’re NOT on the market. It makes sure recruiters have your updated info ahead of time, so if (God forbid) your situation changes and you need to make a move, headhunters will know if they should reach out to you — or not.
